Dangers of using domain referral verification

Just an FYI to FormM@iler users.

The domain referrer security check is a legacy feature left in for those that want to use it, because is some situations it could still be useful, but there can be problems.

Some current paranoiaware such as privacy protection applications and the like sometimes hide the referrer or change it under the guise of personal privacy. For this reason, the domain referral security check could fail.

In controlled situations such as an intranet or something like that, it could still be a valid tool, but for many typical, public web sites, be aware you could be inadvertently rejecting legitimate visitors due to their use of such privacy protection measures.
