Google Advertising
Google runs a couple of the largest, most successful advertising systems on the internet. These services represent both sides of the advertising business.
- Google AdWords is the platform with which advertisers purchase advertising space to be displayed on the Google search engine, Google's search partners (web sites that have their search engine powered by Google results) or sites showing Google ads.
- Google AdSense is the platform that web site owners use to display ads on their web sites and make money from it, with the ad spaces populated by ads that AdWords advertisers purchase.
AdWords is a very clever, and effective system, by which the advertiser bids on ad spaces based on keywords, or, targets web sites or specific ad placements. By using the auction-based system, AdSense publishers can be sure to get the most revenue possible from running the ads, and the AdWords publishers are paying the least that the market will bear for such keywords.
Since all keywords and phrases are valued differently, this is a great way to make sure the whole business is running in a good, capitalistic system that will end up costing more for valuable keywords, since bidding will likely be higher, and lower for abscure words that are less valuable.
navigating the AdWords system and getting the most for paying the least is a skill. If you need help, or are confused by the system, feel free to contact me for some help.
Running an effective and profitable ad publishing system is far more than just slapping ads on your site and watching the money roll in. it involves proper placement of the ads, proper color choices and design and much more.
I have years of experience in ad publishing and have learned what works and what doesn't. If you feel you are not getting enough from your ad publishing and want a little help to improve the revenue, contact me and let's talk.
